The crazy mind knows that there is more to all this. In this video, David introduces his vision for the group. The idea behind the group is to skip over concepts like “personal growth” and plugging straight into the source. This source, which can be named God, Now or Love or universal intelligence or…. is what we will be seeking in these group sessions. David also touches on his personal experiences with “self-help” and “personal growth” and his discovery (with the aid of Satori and an Enlightenment Intensive experience) that we are not our stories. He also touches on the reasons for having an Awaken to Love Day on March 21st: https://www.facebook.com/events/2711430438975355/ At this event, we’re going to put this idea of bringing love into the moment into practice, using our fear, anger, and complaint as touchstones to access these deeper levels of consciousness. We will look at our beliefs about many different things, for example, our beliefs about time (did yesterday really happen?) and how our perceptions and judgments are filtered through our minds. We can’t think our way to freedom and we can’t find love by simply looking for it (but also can’t find it if we don’t). Sound confusing? Well, we will be spending the whole year practicing this and overcoming our attachments. David also explains the cost of awakening: that there is a certain comfort in staying asleep but that this cost pales when compared to becoming who we REALLY are: spiritual beings and possibly God-incarnate.
