Fear, anyone aware of fear? It seems that many are deep in it at this time. What if fear creates our reality? What if Love could also create our reality? Let’s talk about both. One seems to overpower the other. Where we focus our attention is the one.
Humbled by the ocean. Does the wave think he is a wave or does he realize that he is the ocean? Are we separate from Life or are we life? The allusion that we are separate from this moment must be surrendered, peace comes only in this moment. The idea of me is always in the past, from a story of me or a belief about me, or in the future picture of the imagination of me. The belief in the story of me casts me into a mission to fix me or make a better me. Reading self-help books and going to personal growth groups or spiritual development seminars. These pursuits did help in the end to exhaust any possibility of finding true peace in this realm, the realm of the personal. Only in the now, the moment through surrender did quiet come. Who have we been and who are we now? We have been a person, living in a world of right and wrong, good and bad. A world of judgment and complaint. Always trying to understand and making meaning of life’s events. Never completely satisfied, always looking for more, and afraid of losing what we have. And pretending that we are happy and complete, wearing the mask of I’m ok. That is the world of the mind, of the ego. There is a possibility to live in our full potential, free of fear, free of personal judgment. One of the paths to self-realization to awakening is the 12 steps of AA, NA, CA., and many more. Let’s follow that instruction. and there are more. We have included a 10-minute Meditation. Also can be called a Guided Meditation Daily Practices. The Fear Prayer
We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator. We can laugh at those who think spirituality the way of weakness. Paradoxically, it is the way of strength. The verdict of the ages is that faith means courage. All men of faith have courage. They trust their God. We never apologize for God. Instead, we let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. We ask Him to remove our fear and direct our attention to what He would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear.

Selfishness–self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred forms of fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, and self-pity, we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate. Sometimes they hurt us, seemingly without provocation, but we invariably find that in some time in the past we have made decisions based on self which later placed us in a position to be hurt. So our troubles we think are basically of our own making. They arise out of ourselves and the alcoholic is an extreme example of self-will run riot, though he usually doesn’t think so. Above everything, we alcoholics must be rid of this selfishness. We must, or it kills us! God makes that possible. And there often seems no way of getting rid of self without His aid. Many of us had moral and philosophical convictions galore, but we could not live up to them though we would have liked to. Neither could we reduce our self-centeredness much by wishing or trying on our own power. We had to have God’s Help.”
In this series of videos, we are reading from the 24 hr a day Book And We are talking about being Ambassadors of Love And living Happy, Joyous, and free, Awake.
Monday, December 14 Thought for the Day
The way of A.A. is the way of service. Without that, it would not work. We have been “on the wagon” and hated it. We have taken the pledge and waited for the time to be up with impatience. We have tried in all manner of ways to help ourselves. But not until we begin to help other people do we get full relief. It is an axiom that the A.A. program has to be given away in order to be kept. A river flows into the Dead Sea and stops. A river flows into a clear pool and flows out again. We get and then we give. If we do not give, we do not keep. Have I given up all ideas of holding A.A. for myself alone?
Meditation for the Day
Try to see the life of the spirit as a calm place, shut away from the turmoil of the world. Think of your spiritual home as a place full of peace, serenity, and contentment. Go to this quiet, meditative place for the strength to carry you through today’s duties and problems. Keep coming back here for refreshment when you are weary of the hubbub of the outside world. From this quietness and communion comes our strength.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may keep this resting place where I can commune with God. I pray that I may find refreshment in meditation on the Eternal.
